These clay tablets were made from the earth and water. After they were carved they were left out in the sun to dry. Another object that they used for art was gold. They used this gold for their jewelry and put what they believed in on the jewelry. They also used limestone for their art and buildings. Written Language
In ancient Mesopotamia their written language was composed of pictures called cuneiform. It starts out as crude drawings of the actual item, object, or person then it is turned backwards and made sharper and more lined. They write these symbols on clay tablets that are sun-dried after they are finished. In order to make two words or more together in a sentence such as the cheese, you will make the symbols of the and cheese. They use their form of writing to document taxes, interactions, and transactions, which are sealed in a clay envelope. If something goes wrong and is brought to court they smash the clay envelope to see the transaction.

Conclusion
Mesopotamian intellectual expression was very important and has affected modern society clearly. For example, we have kept the sixty second minute and the sixty minute hour, both of which were created by Mesopotamians. In addition, we trade and specialize in work as the people of Mesopotamia did. It is important to know how Mesopotamia has affected us because what they did can explain what we do today. After all, to understand the present we must learn about the past.
