How people worshiped
They worshiped 6 gods and believed all did a big part in the world. They built tall buildings with statues of the gods to show that the gods were higher in power then everyone else. In the buildings they would put food and resources in the buildings as a sacrifice every once and while.

How gods were InfluencedFor pleasing the peoples 6 gods the people believed that if you did a bad deed their gods would be mad and their gods is everything they have and they would to upset them, so they pleased them. The people also behaved upset and depressed when gods were mad, because they believed that they controlled their feelings and perspective. When treated by gods, when the gods were unhappy, they too would become unhappy and mad as they believed. -Charlie Brubaker |
ComparisonThere is many comparisons from ancient Mesopotamia to now. For example christians only worship one god and ancient Mesopotamians worshiped many gods. They used to worship gods by building tall buildings and now we make churches and go to church every sunday or saturday. Their gods each represented different things were as the god now "controls" or represents the world. They believed that the gods were key to survival and if the gods weren't pleased they would be ashamed of themselves and the village would feel like they are underachievers and now people do not know or try to know if the gods are ". -Liam Fitzgerald |
