Jobs and JusticeJustice was demonstrated by a punishment which would depend of the crime. An example would be if you hurt somebody there would be a fine but the fine would go to who ever you hurt. The jobs of ancient Mesopotamia were various jobs like slaves, priests, farmers, kings, elected rulers and judges. Justice was demonstrated by a series of punishments like if you robbed a bank your fate would be decided by the judge. If you were found guilty, you would be hanged. The jobs of ancient Mesopotamia were very good, there was soldiers, teachers, and judges. These jobs were very important.

Notable RulersOne of the notable rulers of Mesopotamia was Gilgamesh, who was the 5th King in the Sumerian City of Uruk. He was known as a demigod with phenomenal powers. Also, in stories, they would call him the Epic Of Gilgamesh. Another ruler was Hammurabi who was the 6th King of Babylonia and founded the 1st Empire. His invention was a written code of laws called the Hammurabi Code. The Hammurabi Code contained 282 laws written on an upright stone pillar. King Hammurabi used the law to keep order in his kingdom and keep his people united. The last ruler that is important and notable was Shamshi-Adad the First. In Northern Mesopotamia, he conquered many city-states, and was an excellent organizer and leader. He also established the very 1st Assyrian Empire.
