Pharaohs
The Pharaohs were the highest class and had everything done for them and ruled everyone. They were sometimes very bad people. They often when mad with power and abused it on people. They had the power to kill anyone at any moment and often did like in the story of Moses.
Priests
The Priests are the second highest rank in the social classes. They made sure everyone did their jobs and they also taught religion. The also received the best education. They were the right hands of the Pharaohs. They meep did his important jobs and mad threats against people who disobeyed the Pharaohs.
The Upper Class
At the top of the classes, everybody in this class was wealthy and had slaves or servants to do their jobs. Most of these people worked as nobles, government, and war chiefs. War chiefs would bring the slaves after a battle and the community would share them fairly. Even though the Upper Class part of civilization seems cruel and unjust, they provide protection and prosperity at times.
Lower Class
The lower class is one of the four main social classes and is the class above slaves. In ancient Summer, the lower class were paid for their work. The lower class were a group of comfortable people but did not have the luxuries of the upper class. The lower class wore jewelry but most likely not made of gold. They followed the clothing fashions of the time period as much as possible. In ancient Summer social classes would spend their leisure time working if you belonged to a lower class and art and music were activities that usually the upper classes would do in their free time.
Slavery
When the Sumerians won a war, they would bring back slaves. The slaves worked for the king, the temple, and the wealthy for no pay. Slaves are part of the lower class. If not taken as a prisoner from a war, a slave would be sold at an auction. They would cost more money than a cow but less than a donkey.
